It's been 4 weeks!

It's Monday, so of course that means I'm back with an update! I feel kind of guilty that I only come to blog on my weigh-in day. It was nice getting to come here a few times a week, but life gets busy. Honestly, I'm not really sure how many people check this out anyway. I suppose if I felt like I got more traffic, I'd make more of an effort. It's okay though, because I like tracking weekly just for myself.
Anyway, I weighed in this morning with low expectations. I'm on my period and feeling especially bloated this week. I figured it would affect my weight loss in a negative way. Thankfully, I am happy to report it does not appear to have affected me as badly as thought! In fact, I'm pretty proud to say I've lost another 3.5 pounds!!!! {217lbs.}

GOODBYE 220's!

I've lost 5% of my body weight since beginning on March 31st. It's been 4 weeks {this is my 4th weigh-in} and I've lost 11lbs. I won't lie; I was hoping to be down 20lbs. by week 4, but I'm still happy about my progress.

Flash back to 4 weeks ago when I posted about starting out, I said these were my hopes and short-term goals:

  • Lose Get rid of 20 lbs.
  • "Lose" 10% of my current weight
  • Fit into my "fat clothes" {I've refused to purchase larger sizes b/c I never want to be this size again!}
  • Don't go off program {AKA "cheat"}
  • Drink the recommended amount of water daily

  • Of these goals, I have achieved 2 out of 5. I fit into my "fat clothes," and I haven't gone off program. I try to drink my water, but I still struggle. The one day I did well, I spent WAY TOO MUCH time in the bathroom... I felt like I was pregnant again! Ha! That's not a good excuse though, I just need to do it. I'm home practically all day anyway...

    I feel it's appropriate to update these, since I've achieved a couple. Here they are:
    • Lose another 5% of my current body weight or 10% from starting {down to 205lbs. and losing over 20lbs. total}
    • Fit into my size 16 pants all over {my thighs are still too big, otherwise I think they would fit!}
    • Drink my water
    • Get in more movement, whether from getting out and about, or getting on the treadmill
    • Get out of the "200's"
    I think these are doable goals. I'm hoping to achieve them in the next 4 weeks! I didn't forget to measure myself. I've been measuring every 2 weeks, so those measurements will come in next Monday! I'll see you then!
